Review Product and Installation Specifications
CTaSC will review existing specifications to evaluate and advise suitability of the product and the methods of installation relative to the specified applications and intended use and the level of required performance.
CTaSC is a ceramic tile expert, a natural stone expert (marble expert, granite expert, sandstone expert, limestone expert, travertine expert, slate expert), an engineer stone expert, a glass tile expert, a brick expert, terrazzo expert, and a concrete paver expert for all types of ceramic tile applications, stone applications, glass tile applicatoins, and other types of tile applications. CTaSC particularly specializes in high risk applications such as bathroom shower installations, steam room installations, exterior veneer installations, exterior decks/balconies, and in swimming pool installations.
CTaSC can create new installation specifications for ceramic tile, glass tile, brick, terrazzo, and stone (granite, limestone, travertine, slate, sandstone, marble, etc.) installation applications that includes tile exterior veneers, tile steam rooms, tile showers and bathtubs, tile swimming pools and tile water fountains, tile floors, tile spas, tile domes, tile exterior decks and balconies, and etc. Donato Pompo is a certified Construction Document Technologist (CDT) through the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and can provide specifications in the CSI Masterformat.

Provide Product and Installation Specifications
CTaSC can provide product and installation method recommendations for new or replacement project applications, and provide installation specifications and installation guidelines to ensure the tile will be installed correctly. CTaSC can produce CSI Master Format ceramic tile installation specifications and CSI Master Format stone installation specifications.
Reporting
As required, CTaSC can provide evaluation reports or specifications in writing either as an informal summary or as a formal guideline or as a specification in a CSI Masterspec format.
Quality Control Inspections
CTaSC provides quality control inspections during the installation of ceramic tile, natural stone, glass tile, Brick, terrazzo, and other tile and stone products. Part of the quality control process is CTaSC will create a quality control plan and provide inspection forms and schedules to verify and document that the tiles are being installed per specifications and that they are performing as intended. In addition, during the quality control inspection process CTaSC will verify the installers are properly trained for the tile installation process, and CTaSC will provide training and recommendations to the installers as necessary.
CTaSC quality control inspectors are seasoned tile installers with years of installation experiences as installers and are managed personally by Donato Pompo and CTaSC senior inspectors. The CTaSC quality control inspectors are normally licensed tile installers or journeyman tile installers. CTaSC provides quality control inspections during the installation of tile for high risk applicatons.

NTCA is the largest tile installer association in the ceramic tile and stone industry, and they are extensively involved in developing industry standards through the ANSI A108 committee, the Tile Council of North America TCA Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installation committee, and their own NTCA Technical Committee. NTCA recognizes CTaSC as a professional consultant for the ceramic tile and stone industries and recommends CTaSC for those needing inspections, investigations, expert witness services, and other consulting services.

CTaSC can provide stone quarry quality control inspections globally to verify that the stone for your project is being produced as specified and that the material you receive in the containers is acceptable before it ships. If your stone shipments arrive and are not acceptable the cost to your project can be tremendous. Normally it is not practical to ship the stone back. To get a new stone container shipment normally will take 90 days or more if it is being imported. No matter whose fault it is everyone pays one way or the other in terms of added cost, delay of project, and relationships.
Tile Installation Methods and Standards
CTaSC performs objective inspections of ceramic tile and stone tile applications based on TCA - Tile Council of America Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installations recommended installation methods and referenced standards, based on ANSI A108 American National Standard Specifications for the Installation of Ceramic Tile and Stone Tile, based on the MIA - Marble Institute of America Dimension Stone Design Manual for stone slab and stone tile applications, and based on any other relevant standards.
The MIA - Marble Institute of America Dimension Stone Design Manual references TCA - Tile Council of America Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installations to be used for stone tile applications. The TCA - Tile Council of America Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installations does reference its installation methods to natural stone tiles, including agglomerates, and glass tile applications.
