Education - I would like to obtain info on schooling for a ceramic tile installer.
Some local unions do provide some training and apprenticeship programs to teaching ceramic tile installation for professionals. Unfortunately there are not a lot. You can go to the BAC International union for information at www.bacweb.org. Also there is a CTEF - Ceramic Tile Education Federation - located in SC who does provide some week long classes for training installers. You can go to their web site at www.tileschool.org. These and other industry associations can be found on my web site at here under Industry Resources and Links on the Association page. If you are just someone who wants to learn to install ceramic tile and stone for your own projects, soon on the CTaSC web site there will be some online training programs you can purchase to show you how to do various installations. CTaSC does run installation training workshops for companies when they have a group of at least ten people who what to learn various installation applications. Good Luck!
